Michael Coutris

Michael J. Coutris is Senior Vice President of Business Development at Lakeland Equity Group, where he leads capital formation, investor relationships, and the expansion of the firm’s real estate and private credit platform. With more than two decades in entrepreneurship, finance, and executive leadership, he brings an investment-focused approach to sourcing opportunities and building durable partnerships.

He has helped raise over $30 million in startup and early-stage capital, structured and scaled real estate–backed and cash-flow–driven investments, and played key roles in joint ventures and capital partnerships across real estate, healthcare, wellness, and international business. Before his current role, he served as a Senior Advisor to Lakeland Equity Group, supporting the launch and growth of its private credit strategy and working closely with investors on fundraising and portfolio communication.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Economics, he is focused on connecting capital with high-quality operators and assets, strengthening investor partnerships, and creating long-term value for Lakeland Equity Group’s clients and stakeholders.
